Groundworks and frame commence on site at Travelodge Portsmouth

We are excited to have commenced work on the construction of another Travelodge scheme for developer CHG. The scheme adjacent to Victoria Park in Portsmouth’s city centre will become a landmark building on the city’s skyline when it is complete next Christmas with an iconic elliptical tower which will be lit in the city’s colours.

The scheme will be built using a combination of concrete and steel frames with statement façade and fitted out to Travelodge’s new interior specification. Groundworks are underway after some complex utilities’ alterations allowed work to commence last month.

The project will achieve BREEAM Excellent through an ‘envelope first’ approach supplemented by technological solutions designed by the specialist partners. We will feature more about this once work starts on these elements. The team will also be reaching out to the local community, especially those studying built environment qualifications to offer site tours or work experience which may supplement their studies. If you’re interested in this, please give us a call in the office on 01794 368 137 so we can take your details.

DNA and CHG have together delivered multiple Travelodge schemes and we are thrilled to continue this collaborative relationship by delivering such a unique scheme. The project is worth over £11m and will be complete by Christmas 2019.

Companies or individuals who are interested in work generated by this scheme should completes the form by clicking through to the Partners page on our website.
