Portsmouth Travelodge- Quarterly Update

As part of our commitment to the Considerate Constructors Scheme, we are sharing quarterly updates, issued by post to all local businesses and residents near the site. This simple gesture keeps everyone informed of progress and our next steps.

The last three months has seen lots of progress on site and now the drainage and ground work is complete, our neighbours are able to see the new building growing above the hoarding.

Here’s a brief update on what we’ve done and what will be happening next…

  • The concrete cores visible on site are due to be completed the first week in January

  • The loading bay has been completed allowing us to take deliveries without affecting the flow of traffic. Thank you for your patience while this was completed.

  • Pedestrian segregation will keep vehicles separate and ramps and viewing points will make it easy and safe to move around the site’s perimeter.

  • The steel frame will start arriving in January

  • Contractors and subcontractors parking is limited to Cascades of the adjacent church with whom we have agreed a reciprocal arrangement.

  • In return for use of their parking space, we are assisting with some maintenance and repairs for the Church.

  • Deliveries to site have been timed to avoid rush hour and minimise any traffic impacts.

We hope you have found this update interesting, we will issue another update next quarter. If you have any questions, please contact Ralph or Alan at the site office or email Ralph.daubeney@dna-ic.co.uk
